Contracts Specialist

RFA seeks a highly detail-oriented, professional, and experienced Contracts Specialist who will provide cradle-to-grave contract administration support to RFA's team. Our preferred candidate will have hands-on experience managing Firm-Fixed-Price, Time and Materials, Labor-Hour contracts, and Grant Agreements.   The candidate will report to the Budget Director and act as the primary point of contact for all RFA departments regarding RFA's agreements with the vendors and domestic and international consultants.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and reviewing contracts & contract modifications with entities and individual consultants/contractors;
  • Inputting contract data into RFA's financial management and electronic document management system. 
  • Providing regular reports and statistics on contracts to RFA's leadership
  • Preparing contract-related reports and data for the government as needed. 
  • Researching and interpreting federal, state, and local laws that apply to RFA's contracts in the US and abroad. 
  • Reviewing and providing recommendations on RFA's contract management approach, templates, and supporting documentation. 
  • Working closely with other departments throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Ensuring all contract-related files and documents are correctly filed, organized, and safeguarded. 
  • Supporting the Budget Director in other tasks as assigned. 
  • Assisting the Budget Analyst as needed.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Contract Management, Finance, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of related working experience that demonstrates the required duties and responsibilities listed above.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a part of a team and independently.
