Graphic Designer, Asia Fact Check Lab


Asia Fact Check Lab is a new platform by Radio Free Asia that aims to provide viewers with accurate and unbiased analysis of China-related statements made in public in order to counter misinformation and disinformation and to increase knowledge of critical issues. Asia Fact Check Lab is currently seeking an experienced and creative graphic designer to generate data reporting. This full-time position is open for US- and Taipei-based candidates. 



  • Assisting with photo, video, and graphic editing in multimedia reporting.
  • Working with journalists and data scientists to develop infographics, data visualization, and interactive content in regular publications and special reports.
  • Creating or transforming multimedia content to fit social media platforms.
  • Creating illustrative materials, such as logos and banners for promotional purposes in special features or communication.
  • Contributing to the construction of the Fact Check Center webpage by bringing forward innovative features and solutions.
  • Ensuring that RFA visual formats, styles, and procedures are followed on by Fact Check Center products.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the field.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital journalism, or related field.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Superb skills in graphic design and illustration.
  • Experience in journalism graphic design (infographics, data visualization, interactive graphics) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge in HTML and web design preferred.
  • Motion graphic design skills preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and handle deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with a remote team in different time zones.
  • Fluency in written and verbal Mandarin; proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • At least 3 years of experience.
