Rohingyas have them integrated in Burma (Myanmar) for a milleanium. There had been Rohingya law makers and ministers in the parliament.
Abdur Razzak, A Rohingya born and bred in Burma, was an important minister in newly independent Burma. He was assassinated along with the father of nation Aung San (Ms Suu Kyi's dad) and five others ministers in 1948 by leftists.
The problem began when they were stripped off their citizenship in 1982 and systematically discriminated (travel restrictions, no schools etc.). Their "crimes" were they look Caucasians (not Mongoloid), have different religious belief and language than the majority Buddists.

Burma is the last bastion of "military rule" under the disguise of a civialian one.

GrinOlsson from Ketchikan, Alaska USA :

It seems that the problems for the Muslims in Myanmar surfaced because the Buddhists studied their Islamic history and are aware of Hijrah or “Jihad by emigration” where those of the Islamic ideology come to a region, not to assimilate, but to conquer by numbers as colonists. After there is a certain population those of the Islamic faith seek to separate or break from the original nation. If the original nation doesn't allow this, then Islam becomes political and violent. Like in many other parts of the world, the Islamic Rohinga attacked both police stations and government officials.

The Rohinga were not expecting such a strong counter-response which has now resulted in hundreds of thousands of refugees. If one were to reverse this ideology and find Buddhists in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, they would be forced to leave ie: refugees so this concept or result should be expected. Therefore, Islamic nations should afford these Islamic refugees to settle in Islamic nations acknowledging that Hijrah just didn't work in Myanmar and move on in life. That's the way life goes and sometimes - whether it is Catholicism or Hindu, or Buddhist coming into a new area and is not accepted - well those ideologies need to pack their things and start somewhere else in the name of peace. Especially if they are going to try to force their religion with violence. If the Rohinga Muslims do not want to leave, then their leaders should tell them that the only way they will be able to live in peace is to convert to Buddhism or move to Bangladesh. This is just my natural conclusion of what I know of the matter.

Grin Olsson , Thanks , for your input and what you say is very true. Muslim have never integrated no matter where they have migrated to. They are thorn in the society wherever they live .
