Libby Liu, President

Libby Liu was named president of RFA in September 2005 by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), following the retirement of RFA’s founding president Richard Richter.

Dan Southerland, Executive Editor

Dan Southerland was appointed vice president and executive editor in 1996, with primary responsibility for all editorial operations. He has oversight of nine broadcast services as well as the award-winning Web site.

Each of our nine news services has a director who is responsible for its editorial operations.

Radio Free Asia’s officers to the corporate board are President Libby Liu, Treasurer Norman Thompson, and Secretary Bernadette Burns.

Members of Corporate Board

All nine member of the BBG sit on Radio Free Asia’s corporate board. Michael Meehan serves as Chair and the Vice-Chair is Victor Ashe.

RFA Audit Committee

RFA’s Audit Committee is made up of three directors, with the vice-chair serving as an ex officio member.
