I have two reasons to share: <br>1- These two nations already signed the extradition agreement. &quot;Extradtition&quot; mean to hand over (an accused person or convicted of a crime) to the foreign state. <br>2- Khmer and Siam since very long time ago history. In the angkor wat time, when siam wants to get khmer angkor wat, they just sent 4 commanders as spy to stay in angkor wat temple and later on these siam spies open the back gate of angkor. There were many siam soliers get into temple and killed khmer kings, then angkor wat temple was under their controlling. I know khmer people are very kind heart, but this is an easy way to fall in enemies trick.

It's not gonna worse than what Cambodia currently has. I think Cambodia has shown a leadership in this case. Agree or not with Hun Sen, he steps up and take responsibility. Thaksin can bring jobs for Cambodian people. Nothing lose.

I think this is a bad idea that Cambodian government involve with Thai former prime minister. Everbody knows that Thailand have an ambitous mind. They want to invade our country, they to have our Preah Vihear Temple, they kill our people again and again without sorry, they look down on us. Please do not forget about the historic of gold coin. Thai people and leaders are always loyalty to their country. They can all kinds of stupid things to have everything from their neighbors. There are lot bad things which Thai did and continue to do to harm and invade our country. We should not forget and involve in this situation. We do not an economic advisor from Thailand. If Cambodian need one there are lots of them out there. Ones again, please do not believe and trust Thai people anyway they do.

This is a short-sighted decision. It brings nothing but harm to Cambodia. There are many foreign figure heads who are Taksin's best friends. None of them would choose that decision because it will unnecessarily harms their diplomatic relations. Bear in mind that Cambodian leader will never ever be best friend with Thai leader taking into the numerous conflicts we have had. Thai leaders have never been honest to their Cambodian counterparts. The Cambodians are too good and too honest. As a leader, Hun Sen should not have made such remarks. For whatever reason, a leader should not make decision based on a short-term and self-directed interest. Being a leader, he represents Cambodia and whatever remark he makes, especially if it affects other countries, should be conscious of its consequences. His political decision about such issue is too hazardous to Cambodia's interest.

I think Hun Sen has made two totally wrong political decision in relations to issue with Thailand. First, his order of shooting the Thai intruders into Preah Vihear temple is illegal. If the incidence occurred, his order would have amounted to crime against humanity. He can be prosecuted in the International Criminal Courts in the Hague. Second, his most recent statement concerning Taksin's issue jeopardizes the two countries relations. It is a provocative remarks made directly against the recent Thai government. I am pleased that the government spokesman has rectified the statement to the effect that Hun Sen would not offer a house to Taksin if he chooses to stay in Cambodia. But of all a sudden he (Hun Sen) says he will appoint Taksin as his economic advisor. Internationally, such abrupt political decision reflects his immaturity and thus receives no appreciation at all. <br>

I think political asylum could be a way to go for the Cambodian government. All countries including America offer political asylum to anyone escaping from their countries for fear of political or religious persecution. Thaksin is perfectly fit into that category. If America and other countries can do it why not us. However, we need to prcoeed with it cautiously. Historically, Thai and Khmer are existential enemy. Thaksin might return to Thailand and gain power again. As far as I know he is almost as popular as the Thai King; and the King has been alarmed by his popularity. That is one of the reasons he was kicked out by the military coup greenlighted by the King. Imagine, what if Thaksin becomes premier again and has all national intelligence including esepecially economic and military ones. Could this be compromising our national security? Just rhetorical question...

I am supported what Samdach Hun Sen was said about the welcoming to Mr. Thaksin to Cambodia. Mr. Thaksin was the victim of the military coup. Cambodia is a neutrally sovereignty country. Thus, the Cambodian leader, Samdech Hun Sen, has a fully independent right NOT to agree on extradition for arresting Thaksin Shinawatra for Thai government.
