Land protests are very common in China. There are hundreds of such protests each year. The Chinese police usually use force to break up the protests and organizers are often arrested or harassed. Corrupt CCP officials grab land from Chinese villagers/farmers & sell them to big corporations for a profit. China is seething with dissatisfied & upset people who are no longer tolerant of the corrupt status quo & want change & in the political system.
