Landslides in Cambodia affect villagers' homes

About 100 families who are living along the Sangkae River in Ek Phnom district, Battambang province, are worried about landslides that continue to occur every year when the water level rises sharply. Authorities have ignored the villagers' requests to resolve the issue. During the rainy season, the water level of the Sangkae River rises so high that some people who are living close to the river’s banks are concerned that their houses will collapse into the river.
